The Canterbury Branch of the New Zealand Dental Association was originally founded in March 28th 1901 and has a long standing in Canterbury. The first President was Dr W S Seed who was inaugurated in 1922.  See below for a complete list of past officers. The Canterbury Branch meet monthly, publish a regular newsletter and organise local sports and collegial events. Members also attend regional conferences.

 

The New Zealand Dental Association is the professional association for Dentists in New Zealand. The NZDA sets Codes of Practice and Ethics, provides Training and Courses and helps promote effective Dentistry throughout New Zealand. The Association provides members with access to publications and research and also lobbies the government and is represented on the Ministry of Health Steering Groups.
